Classes taught by the experts

Our tutors are all independent, practising artists with decades of combined wisdom and industry experience. They’re keen to support emerging artists and we’ve been lucky to have many of them teach right here at Attenborough Arts Centre. Whether our tutors are local East Midlands makers or talented creators from up and down the UK, we’re proud to help them go further in their exciting artistic careers.

Nurturing creativity, caring for the planet

We’re always looking to minimise any impact that our art tools and materials could have on the environment. That’s why we only send you containers that are reusable, made from glass, bamboo or paper. Our disposable gloves are all fully biodegradable, our boxes are fully sustainable, while our Jesmonite resin bottle, the only item we’ll send you that’s made from plastic (rPET), uses 30% recycled material and is fully recyclable too!

Proudly brought to you by Attenborough Arts Centre

Attenborough Arts At Home is a project run by Attenborough Arts Centre, University of Leicester’s public arts centre. Established over 20 years ago with the help of our founding patron, Lord Richard Attenborough, we now engage with over one hundred thousand people annually who all share a love of great art, culture and learning. We are proudly supported by Arts Council England, who help us continue to break down barriers and improve access to the arts for everyone

“The arts are not a luxury. They are as crucial to our wellbeing, to our very existence, as eating and breathing. Access to them should not be restricted to a privileged few. Nor are they the playground of the intelligentsia. The arts are for everyone – and failure to include everyone diminishes us all.”

– Lord Richard Attenborough, founding patron of Attenborough Arts Centre
